MBI has made a donation to this year’s Waterpalooza! Waterpalooza is an exciting water relay event where teams of four compete against each other at the Daytona Lagoon in Daytona Beach Saturday, August 24, 2013. All the proceeds from Waterpalooza will be donated to The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler & Volusia who receives a 16:1 match from the state of Florida.
ELCFV is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that institutes quality early learning for children birth to five. ELCFV helps families in need pay for subsidized child care, provides certificates for Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), and educates families about quality child care. ELCFV’s heart and mission is for young children to be developmentally prepared for kindergarten while strengthening and stabilizing families.
MBI is active within the community and has numerous schools that we donate to each year! We are proud to once again answer the call of need for our children.

MBI’s at the theater

MBI's community interaction has once again led us into the spotlight! This month, the Athens Community Theater in DeLand, Florida has put us in their spotlight that is reserved for Corporate Sponsorship's that supports the company. A quote from their webpage states "A typical performing arts theater derives 50% of its operating revenue from ticket sales. The remaining capital must come from grants and corporate sponsors." This is where MBI and other local companies fill the gap.
We want to thank the Athens Community Theater for putting us front and center and as always we are happy to be able to assist where and when we are able!

This year, more specifically this month, marks the 25th anniversary of MBI Direct Mail! What better way to celebrate this milestone than with an additional milestone to raise the bar of all our employees. This past week was the most productive week in the history of the company! Our staff worked day and night to ensure we kept to our 24 hour turnaround promise...and boy, did we deliver!
This year is projected to be our biggest year yet! In planning for the workload, we have obtained newer equipment, the latest software and hired more employees from the community. We have become members of the prestigious Printers Association of Florida (PAF) and our in-house USPS workers have brought in some heavy equipment to help speed up the mailing process!
We at MBI have always valued our community and our clients that keep us busy day in and day out. We want to thank everyone for not only their business, but also their trust and confidence that we will get the job done when the pressure is on. To our current customers, we thank you, and to our future clients, come see why we provide services that are better, faster, and cheaper than the competition. You will be glad you did!

The goal of the MainStreet DeLand Association is to strengthen the community through boosting the economic development of downtown DeLand while protecting DeLand's historic nature.
MBI has worked with the MainStreet DeLand Association many times in the past before becoming an official member. Events such as the Friends of the Library and the Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cookoff are just a few of the past projects we had the honor of working on!
MBI is excited to continue to extend our reach to our local community and we look forward to our next community project!

This month, the Volusia/Flagler County Business report has printed an article about the family owned businesses in their counties. The determining factors to be able to make the list are the number of employees and the fact that the businesses are family owned and run. MBI was rated in at number 14 out of the 24 companies surveyed with 90 full-time employees and 35 part-time employees!
MBI is proud to be included on this list and we look forward to moving up the ranks. The vision and structure of MBI ensures that we continue to have happy and growing staff members as well as happy customers!

On November 7, 2012, The Florida Hospital DeLand branch will be hosting their 5th Annual Health Care Recognition Dinner, this year honoring three Orthopaedic doctor’s who have been in the DeLand area for a very long time. They are Dr. Richard Huster, Dr. Taylor Griffin Jr. and Dr. Royce Hood Jr.
These doctor’s have been instrumental in the orthopaedic health care in our area as before Dr Huster, there was no one serving the DeLand community in this field.
MBI has been selected to produce the programs for the event! In addition, MBI will also be helping to sponser the event.
We at MBI wish to extend our thanks to these gentlemen for filling a need here in DeLand and wish them many more years of success!
